Indonesian Chicken Curry w/ rice cake



Ingredients:
3 chicken thigh( cut into medium size )
1 stack lemon gras ( bruised )
2 salam leaves or bay leaves
3 lime leaves
100 ml coconut milk
100 ml water
10 pcs snake bean or french bean ( cut into 2 cm lenght)

Paste :
3 pcs garlic
5 pcs shallot
3 pcs candle nut
1 cm turmeric
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp pepper powder
1 sdt cumin powder
1/2 cm ginger
1/2 cm galangal


method :

1. Cook the paste untl fragrant then add salam/bay, lime leaves, lemon grass
2. Add chicken and cook them until the color changed
3. Pour water and coconut milk, simmer until chicken tender
4. Last add beans and cook about 10 minutes then removed from the heat.

In Indonesia we eat this with rice cake or just steam rice. Garnish with fried shallot.
